- I want to purchase one of the Dimplex inserts but want to know the differences between the optiflame, DimplexDF12309 and the Dimplex DF12310. Help!!!!
- Hi Shari, great question. The Optiflame insert that we're offering here is the Dimplex DFI 2309. There are several differences between the 2309 and the 2310. First off, the logs in the 2310 are made of carved resin, whereas the logs in the 2309 are painted. Second, the logs in the 2310 have LEDs in them, which make them glow a bit more. Third, the flame effect is somewhat higher and brighter in the 2310. Both put out the same amount of heat, and the 2310 is significantly more expensive.
