FMI 4 Inch Kit 4" Air Kit with Flexible Duct, Hood & Hardware is an optional outside air kit for all wood burning Grand Meridian Fireplaces. Grand Meridian Fireplaces require enough replacement air to function properly; additionally, some local building codes may require outside combustion air to be provided.
In homes that are very well insulated and tightly sealed, improper flue drafting may occur causing smoke to potentially enter the home. Air is accessed via a vented crawl space or through a sidewall.
